SEIU Local 221 leaders and activists are in San Juan, Puerto Rico, for the SEIU 2008 International Convention. At the convention, SEIU Local 221 members will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to change our country and change the lives of working people. Together, SEIU local unions have developed breakthrough strategies not only to elect a new U.S. President and U.S. Congress but to win:

 Affordable and quality health care;

 An economy that rewards work;

 Quality services with fair and reliable funding; and

 The freedom of all workers to form a union.
